Synergy and Innovation Parents:
This year, for the first time, senior parents will have the opportunity
to purchase ads in the SHOWZAM competition program to honor their
students.
These ads will be much like the yearbook ads; in fact, you are welcome
to use the same ad, or same photo with different copy -- anything you
want, actually! The price is only $25 for a 1/4-page ad with all
proceeds going to the Johnston High School Vocal Music Parents'
Association (VPA).
You can e-mail the ads to me at
LISALAVIA@mchsi.com, or mail them to me at 4612 67th Street,
Urbandale, IA 50322. You can enclose your check with the ad. If you
sent the ad via e-mail, please mail me your check or give it to me at
the show choir parent show on the 24th. Checks should be made out to
Johnston High School VPA.
Please note that your ad does NOT have to be professionally laid out.
If you want to just send the photo and the copy, we'll make it work.
Again -- senior only, please. As always, thank you for your support! :)

Show
Choirs Change Venue
There is a date change for one of our competitions this spring.
Originally we were planning to compete on February 21 at Indianola’s
Festival. However, their format has changed and we have decided to go
to Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids on February 28 instead.
The jazz bands are not competing on the 28th. There is state
Wrestling and District Speech Contest that day, but otherwise it was an
“open” date. If we have conflicts with wrestlers and speech students,
we will work together to make it to all events. This competition will
feature Impact, Sound Advice, Synergy and Innovation – a great day for
all of the Johnston Show Choirs to be together! We wanted to get the
word out as soon as we could! If you have any questions, please email
Mrs. VW or Mr. Brimeyer.
