Mens show choir shoes are in at Mark’s Dancewear, next to Walgreens on Merle Hay.  This was not part of the costume fee, please pick them up by December 18.  We have switched to a new brand this year and plan to use it again next year.  The sizes go up to 20- so we should be covered for all gentlemen! 

All MEN in Innovation or Synergy, pants need to be hemmed by Thursday, December 18 for dress rehearsal!

Chamber:
We will continue to prepare for Masterworks, as well as State Solo/Ensemble and Large Group Contest.  We will all be working on theory, as was decided by students last Spring – something they wanted to know more about.  We will have a written and a sung portion to the final this year. 

Concert:
Preparation for Masterworks has begun, as well as State Solo/Ensemble and Large Group Contest.  We will all be working on music theory, specifically naming major key signatures and identifying time signatures.  We will have written (based on in-class theory instruction and score marking) and sung portions (singing excerpts of choir music as a quartet and sight singing) to the final this year.  

Mixed:
Students are working on music to prepare for the Metro Mixed Choir Festival in January.  All Metro Mixed Choir Festival Music should be memorized before break.

Thursday, December 19: 6 - 10 Dress Rehearsal, costumes needed (parents and friends please plan to attend the January 6 OPEN Dress Rehearsal)

Sunday, January 4: 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm with Dr. Peter Eklund, costumes needed

Monday, January 5: 7 – 10 with Dr. Peter Eklund, costumes needed

Tuesday, January 6: 7:00 pm OPEN Dress Rehearsal for parents and friends with Impact, Sound Advice and Synergy

Friday, January 9: Leave for Onalaska at 2:00 pm

Saturday, January 10: Perform at Viterbo!!!!

Women are to pick up their purple leggings at Mark’s Dancewear.  These will be used in place of cheaters this year.

* Please note our competition schedule has changed from the original schedule handed out in April ’08.  INSTEAD of Indianola on February 21^st we will head to Cedar Rapids Kennedy on February 28^th.
